Brighten Up Life wants to make sure your items meet our high standards and your expectations. Please review our general guidelines for returns below.

  • Eligible returns are typically accepted for store credit. Please note that any applicable return shipping fees may be deducted from your store credit total.
  • Used items are not eligible for return.
  • All sales on markdown items, mystery boxes, imperfect products, and subscription boxes are final. No returns are permitted.
  • Items shipped directly from certain vendors (often referred to as “Curated” or “Vendor Direct” items) are not eligible for a return through our standard process. These are handpicked designer items chosen by our team that ship directly from the vendor. If there is an issue with your curated item, please contact us with your order number and a description of your issue.
  • Returns for unused Brighten Up Life items are accepted within a certain timeframe of delivery for store credit, minus any applicable return shipping fees.
  • For holiday purchases made between specific dates, the return window may be extended to account for gift giving. Please review the policy during that time of year.

Damaged Items and Missing Packages

  • Unfortunately, we cannot control what happens to an order once it is picked up by the shipping carrier for final delivery.
  • For missing or damaged orders covered through a third-party protection service (like Route), you may be able to submit a claim directly with that provider for a refund or replacement. This option is typically offered during checkout.
  • We recommend considering order protection, which can be added to your cart before heading to checkout on our website. This service can help ensure you receive a replacement for damaged or lost packages, processed directly through that provider.
  • If your order tracks as delivered but is not received, please check around your mailbox, entrances, lockers, mailrooms, with household members and neighbors. Mail carriers may occasionally mark a package as delivered before it actually arrives. If you are still unable to locate your package, we recommend reaching out to the carrier for additional information.
  • For all other damaged or missing packages not covered by a protection plan, please contact us through our website.
